The personal information provided by you (referred to as “You” or “Your”) or that is collected by Personalised Property Sales Pty Ltd (referred to as “Us”,”Our” or “We”) from other sources, is necessary to verify Your identity and to provide you with real estate services.
Tenants
In accordance with Privacy Principle 1.3 of the Privacy Act, if You are applying to rent a property You are required to be made aware that We may access tenancy databases (such as TICA) to check Your tenancy history as part of the rental application process. In addition, You are entitled to know what will happen to Your information when the tenancy database companies give it to Us. Personal information collected about You may be disclosed to other parties as part of this application process including: the landlord/owner, referees, other agents and tenancy database companies. As part of the assessment process, We may contact Your referees and/or past and present employers to assist in verifying or providing information relevant to the rental application process. You need to be aware of the fact that once a rental application has been lodged with Us, and an inquiry made with a tenancy database company, that Your information may be recorded as part of the inquiry. Information already held on these tenancy databases may be disclosed to Us and the landlord/owner. If You enter into a Residential Tenancy Agreement with Us your tenancy will be disclosed to the landlord/owner, and possibly to other agents and tenancy database companies, only as part of managing your tenancy. If You would like to access the personal information We hold about You, You may contact Your Property Manager. You can only correct this information if it is inaccurate, incomplete or out-ofdate. Ask your Property Manager for more details.
In the event of a default occurring under a tenancy agreement with Us, as a member of TICA and other tenancy database companies, We will register Your details in-line with this breach. Removal of any of this information is at the discretion of the tenancy database company and is subject to their conditions. Please read the following statements carefully: 1. I understand that TICA Default Tenancy Control Pty Ltd and other tenancy database companies allows its members, such as Personalised Property Sales Pty Ltd, access to its tenant information accumulated from real estate members about tenants who have breached tenancy agreements. 2. I agree and understand that should I fail to provide Personalised Property Sales Pty Ltd with the information and acknowledgments required, Personalised Property Sales Pty Ltd may elect not to proceed with my rental application. 3. I agree that should I default under the tenancy agreement, Personalised Property Sales Pty Ltd will register my details with a tenancy database company in-line with this breach. I understand that agreement breaches and the submitting of this information to tenancy database companies could have an adverse affect on my ability to obtain future rental accommodation.
